This is a very simple, but absolutely delicious way of cooking pork chops.

Preparation Time: 10 Mins

Cooking Time: 30 Mins

Total Time: 40 Mins

Ingredients

For 2 servings…

2                    Peppers  - green

2                    Pork chops

30 gms            Lard

                     Salt

Method

Cut the peppers lengthwise and remove the seeds and then slice them across.

Melt a small piece of lard in a frying-pan over a hot fire and fry the pork chops for about 5 minutes, until the underside is golden brown and the fat is running out.  Turn over the chops and fry them for another 5 minutes so that the other side browns.  Cook for another 10 minutes with the heat lowered and then sprinkle them with salt and put them on a hot dish in a cool oven to keep warm.

Toss the peppers in the fat.  Salt them and continuously stir them.  At the end of 10 minutes the peppers will be cooked.  Arrange them round the chops and the dish is ready for the table.
